Gateway Commons Shopping Center(GWC) is ideally located on Highway 98 Bypass, the only major east west artery in Northern Wake County that stretches from Durham to Rocky Mount. With the opening of the last section west of US 1, traffic now avoids the downtown area and flows in front of GWC. The center enjoys traffic signals at both intersecting streets(Heritage Lake Road and Jones Dairy Road) and adjoins Heritage Golf Community, home to 3,000 households of higher income homes. Heritage continues to sell lots and new homes built, even in the tough residential market. As inventory of lots dwindle at Heritage, the Developer is planning to develop another single family project across Hwy 98 from GWC, with 1,600 single family homes…it’s called “Traditions” Gateway Commons is anchored by Lowes Food, Ace Hardware and two of George Bakatsias’ newest theme restaurants. The center has only one small space available to lease and has a great balance of retail, service and restaurants. Outparcels are available in various sizes and are ready to develop. We expect fast food, financial institutions, auto service/repair, child care , medical and related businesses to develop parcels during 2011. The 19 acre apartment tract is under contract and plans are for 300 units to be built immediately behind the center. |
